The Palmer-Williams Group's first event was a free football camp at Prichard Municipal Stadium. On Saturday, the organization held the camp for the fifth straight year, this time at Chickasabogue Park in Eight Mile, where a group of former football stars gathered to work with youngsters at the Football and Cheer Athletic Youth Camp.
"We hope that this is only the beginning," said Sherman Williams, the former Blount High School, Alabama Crimson Tide and Dallas Cowboys running back who is one of the founders of the organization. "Five years is a great accomplishment for anything to still be around five years later.
