Ozzie Newsome has been calling the shots on draft day for the Baltimore Ravens since 1996, when he took UCLA offensive tackle Jonathan Ogden and Miami (Fla.) linebacker Ray Lewis, landing two future Pro Football Hall of Famers with his first two selections.
Last week, Newsome conducted his final draft for the Ravens. Fittingly, he selected two players from Alabama. An All-American enshrined in the College Football Hall of Fame for his play with the Crimson Tide, Newsome has drafted more players from Alabama than any other school.
Alabama cornerback Anthony Averett joined the Ravens in the fourth round and center Bradley Bozeman came aboard in the sixth round on Saturday.
