Oregon lands former Alabama starting wide receiver from portal

    • Former Alabama football and Florida State wide receiver, Malik Benson is head to Oregon to continue his college football career.

    Benson signed with Alabama after two years at Hutchinson Community College. He caught 13 passes for 162 yards and one touchdown while starting for Alabama in 2023. He transferred to play for Florida State in 2024 and managed to pull in 25 catches for 311 yards and one score.

    Similar to Justin Jefferson at Alabama, Benson is benefiting from the NCAA waiver, which allows former JUCO college athletes an opportunity to extend their college careers.
