The Denver Broncos signed former Alabama standout Cyrus Kouandjio on Wednesday morning.
The offensive tackle had been out of the NFL since being released by Detroit on Aug. 29 as the Lions began reducing their 90-player preseason roster to the regular-season limit of 53.
The Broncos put their right offensive tackle, Menelik Watson, on injured reserve on Wednesday. Watson played Sunday's game against the Philadelphia Eagles with a foot injury.
Watson already had missed time after suffering a calf injury last month.
Billy Turner had come in for Watson when he hurt his calf against the New York Giants on Oct.
