After former Alabama standout Trent Richardson signed with the Saskatchewan Roughriders on Tuesday, coach Chris Jones said the running back wouldn't play in Friday night's Canadian Football League game against the Ottawa Redblacks.
That turned out to be the case, but the Roughriders still got a boost from a former Crimson Tide player in an 18-17 victory in Ottawa.
With Saskatchewan trailing 17-0 late in the third quarter, Christion Jones returned a punt 97 yards for a touchdown to start the Roughriders' comeback.
