No fracture for Bills quarterback AJ McCarron, new reports say

During the Buffalo Bills' preseason game on Friday night, reports surfaced that starting quarterback AJ McCarron had suffered a hairline fracture of his collarbone in the contest against the Cleveland Browns.

But on Monday evening, ESPN and NFL Network reported McCarron had not sustained such an injury.

Without detailing the injury that the former St. Paul's Episcopal and Alabama standout had suffered, the reports indicated McCarron would be able to return to practice when his soreness lessened.

Bills coach Sean McDermott had stayed away from a diagnosis, acknowledging only that McCarron had sustained a right-shoulder injury.
