LOS ANGELES — The No. 3-ranked University of Alabama gymnastics team posted a 196.300 to start the season at No. 6 UCLA on Sunday, but the Bruins countered with a strong second half of the meet, tallying a 196.550 to nab the win.
"It was an awesome environment to start in for this new team," Alabama coach Dana Duckworth said.
