Saban and his wife, Terry, have donated and helped raise money for a $1.9 million youth center at the St. Francis of Assisi University Parish. The Sabans helped break ground on the youth center — which will be named the Saban Catholic Student Center — earlier this month, and the project is expected to be finished next year. It will be just a few blocks from the Crimson Tide’s practice fields.
“This is going to be our legacy, Terry and I’s legacy, that we’re going to be as proud of as anything we’ve ever accomplished,” Saban said in a story on AL.
