According to Kent State’s athletics website, Alabama Crimson Tide head coach Nick Saban will be inducted into their Varsity “K” Hall of Fame.
Seven others will be inducted at the same time as Saban at a ceremony to be held on September 26. Of course on that date, Saban will have a football game to take care of so more than likely, won’t be in attendance.
Naturally, his alma mater holds a special place in the head coach’s heart. As a player, he played defensive back from 1970-1972 under legendary head coach Don James. As a matter of fact, college football fans owe James for getting Saban into coaching.
