Mal Moore's legacy has many branches -- perhaps none more significant than hiring Nick Saban in 2007.
More than three years after his death, the former Alabama assistant football coach and athletics director was remembered during Thursday night's Nick Saban radio show. Host Eli Gold, guest Holly Rowe of ESPN and Saban were talking about great storytellers. That got Saban thinking about the side of Moore people didn't see in his later years.
It went back to Sundays during football season. Moore would come into the complex named in his honor to watch game film with Saban every week.
