ESPN cameras caught Crimson Tide strength and conditioning coach Scott Cochran sneaking up to a member of the Crimson Tide productions team who was looking at something on his phone on the sideline and snatching the phone and putting it in his back pocket as he walked away.
It's possible Cochran was joking around. But Alabama coach Nick Saban was asked about the Cochran cell phone snatch on Wednesday and about the Tide's policy regarding using cell phones while on the sideline.
