Nick Saban talks Brian Daboll, friendship with Bill Belichick and Pete Carroll

The annual pro day in Tuscaloosa also offered an opportunity to catch up with Nick Saban in an offseason with limited press availabilities for the Alabama head coach.

Saban touched on a few topics from the current team to NFL prospects in the media scrum that lasted a touch under six minutes. Here are the highlights.

-- Pro day offers a more "intimidate and relaxed" environment for players to work out for teams. It's home turf in a familiar facility, unlike Lucas Oil Stadium in Indianapolis for the NFL combine.

-- The combine "can be a little bit overwhelming and intimidating in some ways," Saban said with some much going on between interviews, medical tests and the workouts.
