Nick Saban says Alabama had no significant injuries after second scrimmage

Alabama football has gone through two preseason scrimmages without significant injuries.

It had a few players banged up heading into Saturday’s practice, but Nick Saban expects the team to be ready to go versus the Miami Hurricanes to open its season. After the scrimmage, Saban updated reporters on the team not having any new injuries.

He said the coaching staff held out Kendall Randolph (ankle), DeMarcco Hellams (ankle), Shane Lee, and Emil Ekiyor from practicing. Randolph suffered an ankle sprain in the first scrimmage, while Hellams sprained his ankle at practice.

The reasons behind Lee and Ekiyor not scrimmaging were not disclosed; however, both players are fine.
