Muhammad Ali wouldn’t take kindly to those who debated his standing as “The Greatest,” though few ever had any arguments about it.
Including Nick Saban.
Following Ali’s passing, the Alabama coach joined ESPN Radio’s “Dari & Mel” Saturday morning, where he reflected on the life of the legendary heavyweight champion who transcended sports.
“I thought he was the greatest champion ever, probably the greatest boxer ever,” Saban said. “Whether it was his style, or the combination of his style, his persona and his personality, just unmatched almost by anyone, and I think that’s why so many people could relate to him and so many people loved him.
