When Nick Saban and Alabama bring home national championships, the impact of those wins spreads a long way beyond the football field.
Saban and his Nick’s Kids Foundation are contributing to the construction of a Habitat for Humanity home in Tuscaloosa, as reported by Fox affiliate WBRC in Birmingham, Ala.
The move fulfills a pledge from Saban to help Habitat for Humanity build one home for each of the Crimson Tide’s national championships, and January’s College Football Playoff victory over Georgia in Atlanta added another one to the list.
Construction began last week on the home, which will benefit a family with a son who uses a wheelchair because of spina bifida.
