It was a quiet day for quarterbacks in the Alabama recruiting orbit. For the first time in 13 years, the Crimson Tide didn't sign a passer after taking a late run at a few off-the-radar prospects.
That doesn't mean things could change, Nick Saban said in cryptic answer about the position Wednesday.
"I think we'll probably have a quarterback join us some kind of way," Saban said, "which I don't think I can comment about."
Alabama got a preferred walk-on commit from Spain Park's Braxton Barker, the son of 1992 Tide national title QB Jay Barker.
