HOUSTON — The finalists for the 2015 Paul "Bear" Bryant Coach of the Year Award were announced on Wednesday and include University of Alabama coach Nick Saban, Clemson coach and former University of Alabama player Dabo Swinney, North Carolina's Larry Fedora, Iowa's Kirk Ferentz, Houston's Tom Herman, Navy's Ken Niumatalolo and Stanford's David Shaw.
The 30th anniversary awards banquet where the winner will be announced is on Jan. 13, 2016, in Houston.
The American Heart Association's Paul "Bear" Bryant Coach of the Year Award is the only college coaching honor determined after all bowl games are concluded.
