Nick Saban a popular write-in candidate in student elections

Related Topics: Nick Saban, Write-in candidate

Student elections recently were held at Alabama, and bamaonline.com reports that Saban received 97 write-in votes for various SGA positions. Twenty-two of them were for president. (Saban probably is thinking, “Wait a second — people wrote me in for a student government position and it wasn’t for president?”)

A few Tide players received votes, too, among them potential starting quarterback Blake Barnett, Heisman-winning running back Derrick Henry (who, considering he’s getting ready for the draft, might not even be on campus), starting tight end O.J. Howard and starting wide receiver Calvin Ridley.

“A’Shawn Robinson’s beard” also received at least one vote.
