NFL's Thursday night game has all-state ending

The NFL's Thursday night game for Week 5 of the 2017 season had an all-Alabama ending. With Tampa Bay trailing New England 19-14 with three seconds left to play and the ball on the Patriots' 19-yard line, Buccaneers quarterback Jameis Winston (Hueytown) tried to rifle a pass to tight end O.J. Howard (Autauga Academy, Alabama) in the end zone, but cornerback Jonathan Jones (Auburn) broke up the throw to end the game.
