Courtney Upshaw's NFL offseason lasted three days this summer, but that was enough to land a spot on the New York Jets. His training camp was even shorter, as the Jets announced on Saturday that they'd released the former Alabama standout.
The Jets' veteran players reported for training camp on Thursday and practiced for the first time on Friday, when New York placed Upshaw on its non-football injury list.
"We just saw some things yesterday that we decided to put him on the bike and stuff for a few days," Jets coach Todd Bowles said at his press conference after Friday's practice.
