The Buffalo Bills traded defensive tackle Marcell Dareus, who entered the NFL as the third player picked in the 2011 NFL Draft, to the Jacksonville Jaguars last week for a sixth-round draft choice next year.
The Jaguars wanted Dareus to help improve their rushing defense, which has been the NFL's worst this season.
A lot had been made of Dareus' salary, playing time, effort and attitude this season under new Bills coach Sean McDermott, and dealing Dareus didn't seem to hurt Buffalo's defense, which held the Oakland Raiders to 54 rushing yards in a 34-14 victory on Sunday in its first game without the former Alabama standout.
