In the final weeks of his breakout season with the New York Jets, its young defensive tackle Quinnen Williams will be ending his season on injured reserve. It was shared on Wednesday that the former first-round pick has suffered a concussion as well as a neck injury.
Williams was placed on IR Wednesday after he cleared the NFL’s concussion protocol.
The injury occurred during last week’s upset over the Los Angeles Rams during a third-quarter play which ended with Williams taking a trip to the locker room.
The Alabama product was the third overall pick in the 2019 NFL Draft and had a disappointing rookie campaign where he struggled to break the rotation.
