New Orleans running back Mark Ingram had burst for a 13-yard gain about halfway through the third quarter of the Saints' game against the Carolina Panthers on Thursday night. But at the end of the run, Ingram collided with Carolina safety Kurt Coleman and was left lying limp on the turf at Bank of America Stadium.
Ingram was able to walk off the field. But after being evaluated on the bench, the former Alabama All-American walked to the locker room and has entered the NFL concussion protocol.
