The ink has dried on Nick Saban’s three-year extension to remain at the University of Alabama.
According to the Board of Trustees, his new contract was approved Monday. His extension goes through the 2028 season.
The agreement in June was for Saban’s base salary to be at $275,000 and his talent fee at $8.425 million.
His base salary will remain the same, but his talent fee will increase by $400,000 a year. Saban will make $11.5 million during the final year of his contract, and he’ll also get an $800,000 completion benefit each year through 2025 upon finishing each season.
