We are looking at the return of college football for this season.
After the proposal and model of a six-week preseason practice plan was approved by the NCAA’s Oversight Committee, the idea was approved by the NCAA Division I Council on Wednesday. Spring football was robbed from the sport and its fans because of the coronavirus pandemic; however, the NCAA has found a way to restore what was taken away.
Student-athletes in football, men’s basketball and women’s basketball were allowed to return to campuses on June 1 for in-person voluntary workouts. According to the Southeastern Conference, the 14 schools it has were approved for workouts on June 8.
