More Tide turnover: Alabama losing d-line coach Karl Dunbar to NFL job

It appears Nick Saban’s staff isn’t complete after all, as defensive line coach Karl Dunbar looks to be returning to the NFL.

Numerous media reports have Dunbar leaving to help coach the Pittburgh Steelers’ defensive line. Pittsburgh’s line coach is John Mitchell, and while the Steelers’ staff is undergoing some transition, Mitchell is expected back.

Dunbar, an LSU alum, has spent the past two seasons as the Tide’s defensive line coach. He replaced Bo Davis, who stepped down following allegations of NCAA violations. Dunbar has extensive experience in the NFL; he was a defensive line coach from 2006-15 with Minnesota, the New York Jets and Buffalo.
