The Jacksonville Suns, a Class AA team in the Southern League, will be honoring one of the First Coast’s most beloved high school athletes when they host “Derrick Henry Bobblehead Night” on July 16.
Henry is from Yulee, Fla., about 30 miles north of downtown Jacksonville. The Suns will celebrate him with a bobblehead giveaway of his likeness to the first 1,000 fans.
The Tennessee Titans selected Henry, the 2015 Heisman winner, in the second round of the 2016 NFL Draft, with the 45th overall pick.
Henry was the first Heisman winner in the past 10 years who was not a first-round pick.
