TUSCALOOSA, Ala. -- Alabama shortstop Mikey White was selected 63rd overall by the Oakland Athletics in the second round of the 2015 Major League Baseball First-Year Player Draft.
White joins a list of just 11 players in Alabama history to be selected in the first or second round of the MLB Draft. Most recently, Spencer Turnbull was taken in the second round of 2014 draft by the Detroit Tigers, also with the 63rd pick.
