It was the last pass Jalen Hurts delivered before Alabama's bye week and it was thrown right into a gaping hole in the heart of Tennessee's defense.
Hurts, executing a play-action fake, dropped the ball over the Volunteers' charging front and into the hands of Irv Smith Jr., the team's sophomore tight end who was unguarded while running free between the hashmarks.
Smith rolled into the end zone as the Crimson Tide's lead swelled to 28 points early in the second half of a 45-7 victory last Saturday.
Smith's 14-yard score wasn't anything remarkable, especially the way Hurts described it.
