Michigan running back Kalel Mullings has made the decision to opt out of the bowl game versus Alabama. Mullings officially declared for the 2025 NFL Draft on Friday evening.
Mullings was the Wolverines leading rusher this season. He came into the season as the No. 2 back on the roster but eventually assumed the starting role over senior Donovan Edwards. The Massachusetts native had 185 carries for 948 yards and 12 touchdowns. He and Edwards have both played their final games in a Wolverines uniform. Edwards also opted out of the bowl game.
Alabama will have now have to prepare to face a different running back in the ReliaQuest Bowl on Tuesday afternoon.
