Entering the Miami Dolphins' game against the Denver Broncos on Dec. 3, running back Kenyan Drake had never carried the ball more than nine times in any of his 27 NFL games.
But against the Broncos, Drake had 23 rushing attempts, picking up 120 yards, including 42 yards on a touchdown run, in the Dolphins' 35-9 victory. He also picked up 21 yards on three receptions.
According to Pro Football Focus, Drake's performance was the best single-game showing by a running back in the NFL during the 2017 regular season and playoffs. In awarding the former Alabama standout its highest grade of the season, the football analytics website noted Drake picked up 106 of his rushing yards after contact.
