The University of Alabama’s Board of Trustees made a monumental decision on Friday to honor Nick Saban by approving the name of ‘Saban Field’ at Bryant-Denny Stadium.
Some felt that a certain venue in Atlanta (Ga.) should do the same, but that is not the case.

Mercedes-Benz Stadium opened in 2017, and Saban carried a career 8-0 record in it. He captured four Southeastern Conference Championships (2018, 2020, 2021, and 2023) inside MBS and a College Football Playoff National Championship to finish the 2017 season.
