Another on off-field assistant is expected to leave the University of Alabama football program.
According to a report from Bruce Feldman of Fox Sports, Marshall University is expected to hire Charles Huff (running backs’ coach) of the Crimson Tide to be its new head football coach. A native of Maryland, the 37-year-old was ranked as the No. 1 recruiter for 2020. Huff produced back-to-back 1,000-yard seasons out of Najee Harris (2019-20) and helped him win the Doak Walker Award. Under Huff’s leadership, Harris was one of five Unanimous First-Team All-American selection for Alabama.
He had been linked to the Marshall job at either head coach or offensive coordinator.
