Mark Ingram Sr. could be headed back to prison

Former NFL wide receiver Mark Ingram Sr. could be sent back to federal prison after a parole-violation hearing on May 22.

Ingram was sentenced originally to more than seven years in prison for money laundering alleged to be the proceeds from narcotics deals and bank fraud for cashing counterfeit checks.

Ingram is the father of New Orleans Saints running back Mark Ingram, who won the 2009 Heisman Trophy while playing for Alabama.

Ingram Sr. was supposed to surrender for imprisonment in December 2008, but he asked the court to allow him to remain free until after his son's final game of the 2008 season -- the Crimson Tide's Sugar Bowl date against Utah on Jan.
