When the Cleveland Browns released wide receiver Sammie Coates in March, the Houston Texans grabbed the former Auburn standout off the waiver wire. For Coates, the Texans got a different player than the Browns had in the 2017 season and the Pittsburgh Steelers had for most of the 2016 campaign.
"I'm healthy now," Coates said. "That was big for me coming down here, was being healthy."
In the first five games of his second NFL season, Coates caught 19 passes for 421 yards and two touchdowns, with six receptions that gained at least 40 yards for the Steelers.
