Mac Jones is having fun, and he’s on fire at the Patriots minicamp.
Cam Newton, Jones’ former teammate, said the second-year player is going to be a “great quarterback.”
“He’s a young gun,” Newton said about Jones on the Pivot Podcast. As he enters his second season, Jones has command of New England’s offense. According to reporters at minicamp, Jones has been sharp on deep passes, short/intermediate routes, and timing with his wide receivers. He’s dominated two sessions of camp, completing 40 of 47 passes and putting them on target.
