LSU prepares to bring live tiger out for Alabama game

A real tiger will be in Tiger Stadium this weekend for the Alabama vs. LSU game.

Louisiana Governor Jeff Landry, state senate Bill Wheat and the R-37th district approved for LSU’s athletic department to transport a live tiger along their sideline during Saturday night’s marquee matchup versus the Crimson Tide. This will mark the first time since the 2015-16 season LSU has had an actual live Tiger on their sidelines, following the passing of their longtime beloved mascot “Mike VII.”

Louisiana Gov. Landry had reportedly been in talks since the season began and leading up to this primetime SEC matchup, pushing for this gesture to be finalized.
