Longtime Alabama practice official, Eddie Conyers is recovering from surgery after suffering a broken hip in a slip-and-fall accident at home last Thursday.
Conyers has been a key part of Alabama football for the last 63 seasons, starting out as a referee during the practices of legendary head coach, Bear Bryant.
After having successful hip surgery in Birmingham, Conyers is believed to be in good spirits as he will return to Tuscaloosa for rehab, per Gary Harris of WVUA 23.
