In 2011 I co-authored a book titled, Saving Innovation: How to Harness the Incredible Power of Innovation. Much of the book focused on the powerful influence management and leadership techniques – both good and bad – have on employees’ ability to perform and generate breakthrough ideas.
Perhaps an examination of Saban and Swinney as leaders will provide us useful lessons. While Saban is obviously the more successful and admired leader, I think Swinney offers a better example to follow.
