Last season, two key members of the Tide linebacker corps suffered key injuries in the season opener. Well, the injury bug decided to bite a little earlier this season.
Saban says LB Chris Allen suffered a knee injury that required surgery and he'll be out for the season, also confirmed RT Matt Womack stepped on somebody's foot the other day & broke his foot again, will likely be out 4-6 weeks.

Allen was in line to be a top backup, perhaps at both the inside and outside positions as he had been seen shadowing Dylan Moses recently.
