A civil lawsuit has been filed against Alabama football’s freshman defensive back, Dre Kirkpatrick Jr.

The lawsuit stems from Oklahoma fans storming the field after the Sooners defeated the Crimson Tide in November. It alleges the plaintiff Holden Moxley was hit in the head by a Tide player upon attempting to take a selfie on the field after the game. Kirkpatrick’s number was used to identify him.

Ryan Deligans, an attorney for Kirkpatrick, filed a response denying the allegation and saying the Alabama player “felt threatened given the totality of the circumstances he was confronted with,” per the Tuscaloosa News.
