Lane Kiffin: 'No doubt' Alabama's Tua Tagovailoa was transferring had he not played vs. Georgia

Lane Kiffin has never been shy about stirring the pot, even on the day after Alabama won another national championship.

Kiffin appeared as a guest on the Dan Patrick Show Tuesday morning and made a shocking assertion. The former Alabama offensive coordinator said Crimson Tide quarterback Tua Tagovailoa was set to transfer away from Tuscaloosa had he not played and played well in Monday's 26-23 victory over Georgia.

Patrick first asked Kiffin about the future of Jalen Hurts, whom Tagovailoa replaced at halftime with the Crimson Tide trailing 13-0.

"I think that's a great question," said Kiffin, who recently completed his first season as head coach at Florida Atlantic.
