Kirby Smart among Tide coaches getting a pay raise

Smart will make $1.5 million this season, up from $1.35 million, and his contract has been extended a year through the end of February of 2018. He is the Tide’s highest-paid assistant coach and reportedly the third-highest paid assistant in the SEC behind John Chavis ($1.67 million) of Texas A&M and Will Muschamp ($1.6 million) of Auburn.

Here are the other salary raises for Alabama’s football coaches:

Offensive line coach Mario Cristobal got an increase from $500,000 to $515,000; tight ends and special teams coach Bobby Williams went from $428,000 to $440,840; defensive line coach Bo Davis went from $450,000 to $475,000; running backs coach Burton Burns went from $335,000 to $345,000 through February of 2017; wide receivers coach Billy Napier went from $325,000 to $340,000 through February of 2017; and strength and conditioning coach Scott Cochran went from $395,000 to $420,000 through February of 2017.
