For several years, Jordan Hare Stadium in Auburn, Alabama has held its own type of aura that can only be attributed to some type of voodoo magic. It started with Auburn’s extraordinary luck throughout the 2013 season. Auburn beat Georgia that season with the “Prayer at Jordan Hare” play, and a few weeks later, Alabama football’s national championship hopes went down the drain with the Kick Six.
Ever since that dreadful play that still haunts memories, Alabama has had one consistent flaw: the kicking game. The last reliable kicker Alabama enjoyed was Jeremy Shelley, and even he was only known to be trustworthy on 40-yard attempts or less.
