Former Alabama wide receiver Kevin Norwood signed an NFL reserve/future contract with the New York Giants on Monday.
NFL teams began signing players to reserve/future contracts the day after the 2016 regular season ended on Jan. 1. The Giants' season ended on Sunday with a loss to the Green Bay Packers in the NFC playoffs.
A player signed to a reserve/future contract can be added to an NFL team's roster when it expands from 53 to 90 players for the offseason on the first day of the NFL's 2017 calendar - March 9.
