Nick Saban started in the secondary at Kent State. He graduated from Kent State in 1972. He started his coaching career at Kent State in 1975 and ’76. Now, he’s making plans to defeat Kent State.
And despite his team’s status as the nation’s No. 1 squad, he’s not about to take this game for granted.
“(Upsets) happen every week,” Saban said. “And it happens because the teams that they’re playing don’t have the proper respect and don’t prepare carefully.”
Saban looked forward to a familiar opponent at his weekly news conference Monday, leading up to the Saturday clash between the Crimson Tide and the Golden Flashes.
