Kalen DeBoer wants to see Alabama football’s running backs continue to improve in multiple areas.
One of those areas is making plays when the circumstances are not perfect. DeBoer feels this is an inevitable part of the game and there are going to be times when blocking assignments are not going to be executed perfectly. If the Tide’s running backs are able to make plays in these situations, DeBoer thinks the Alabama offense would benefit from it in a major way.
“I think as a core, as a group, they can all try to do just if they can get us a little bit more when maybe the perfect blocking isn’t in place, which is going to happen when you’re playing an SEC game in particular,” DeBoer said after Alabama’s second scrimmage.
