Alabama head coach Kalen DeBoer is comfortable with the idea of having a modified spring this offseason.
While Alabama isn’t fully canceling its spring game, DeBoer previously indicated the A-Day Game will be modified and will not follow the usual scrimmage format. DeBoer and his staff appear to have embraced these changes.
“I guess I would consider last year’s spring game ‘A-Day probably a modified game,” DeBoer said. “We didn’t split teams up, we talk about O-Line depth, tight-end depth, and all that kind of stuff. So, we’ll see how the spring goes. To me, it’s just something where we want to have controlled reps, lining up and getting something out of the practices because I think all 15 practices that we get are really important.
