Josh Jacobs entered the SEC Championship game with “flu-like symptoms” and that didn’t stop him from putting on an impressive performance and taking home the 2018 SEC Championship MVP award.
Jacobs racked up 83 yards rushing on 8 carries and pushed in two touchdowns for the Tide. He did this all while taking multiple IVs.
Throughout the season, Tua Tagovailoa and Alabama’s wideouts have provided sparks for the Tide’s offense during the few times they needed one. On Saturday, Georgia’s game plan combined with some drop passes from Alabama’s wide receivers forced the Tide to try a different strategy to keep themselves in the game.
