Jonathan Allen making way back from season-ending injury

The Washington Redskins will begin their offseason program on April 16. Defensive end Jonathan Allen isn't sure how much he'll be able to do -- or be allowed to do -- as preparations start for the 2018 NFL season.

The former Alabama All-American suffered a Lisfranc injury in the fifth game of his rookie season, ending his 2017 campaign 11 games early. A Lisfranc injury involves the displacement of at least one of the metatarsal bones. The metatarsal bones run between the midfoot and the toes.

"Honestly, there's no way of telling at this point," Allen told the Redskins' official website about his readiness.
